Ecclesiastical Province of Canada Unveils Web Site

This afternoon at a meeting of the Provincial Council, the webmaster team of the Ecclesiastical Province of Canada unveiled a new Web Site.

Providing the Province with an official presence on the Internet, the Web Site is a clearinghouse of information for and about the Province of Canada. Visitors to the Web Site will find a number of helpful features:

• Provincial Canons and constitutional documents;
• An explanation of the life and work of the Province;
• Brief descriptions of the member dioceses and links to official diocesan web sites.

Like all web sites, the Province of Canada site is a work in progress, which will continue to evolve in the coming months. We hope to be able to supply historical documents as well as current items that tell the story of the Province's life, faith and work.

The Province of Canada is one of four Provinces in the Anglican Church of Canada, comprising seven dioceses. We are the first such Province in the Anglican Communion to establish a web site.

Representing four of the seven dioceses in the Province, the webmaster team has worked together on-line, bridging the distances electronically.
